Board honors Brower

The Mariposa County Board of Supervisors honored Linda Brower on the occasion of her retirement. Brower has worked for more than 20 years with the Sheriff’s Office.

Brower began her career with the department as a dispatcher in 1988. She was promoted to jail officer in 1989, and has since become affectionately known as “Gramma” to all the department’s staff.

During her tenure, Brower became the resident expert on registering sex offenders and collecting DNA in accordance with the law.

Brower plans to spend time with her family and will also continue to work part-time for the jail. “We appreciate all of her sacrifices over the years and wish to thank her for her loyalty and dedication to the people and the County of Mariposa,” the board’s resolution reads.
