In what was a predictable blowout, Mariposa's varsity Grizzlies moved their Southern Athletic League mark to 2-0 with a 78-36 crushing of visiting Turlock Christian Friday night.

The Grizzlies led early, but a shower of 3-pointers by the Eagles closed the gap to just 6 points at the intermission. That was a close as TC would get and Mariposa ran away with the game, all without the services of starting center Cody Wichmann.

Mariposa will host Le Grand on Tuesday in an SAL clash.
