This is a cry for help. For years the Web site, www.homeofyosemite.com, that touts Mariposa tourism, has had little presence on Google. Even today with the new and improved Web site, put together by the Yosemite/Mariposa County Tourism Bureau, the site appears in the 100th-plus position on Google, if someone types in key words like Yosemite or Yosemite Lodging.

It is a known fact that in this day and age, most people plan their vacations online. So what can you do to help? You can add a link to your Web site and encourage everyone you know to add a link to their Web site linking to homeofyosemite. com. The more links that lead to this website, the higher it will place on Google, the leader of all search engines. And the higher the placement, the likelihood Mariposa’s businesses will see a little boost in business.
