By Dan Tucker, Gazette Publisher

Theresa Castaldi, the bankrupt developer of Coyote Springs Ranch in Cathey’s Valley, is running for the District 3 board of supervisors’ position.

Castaldi confirmed her intention to the Gazette via telephone message on Saturday.

She is running against popular, two-term Supervisor Janet Bibby.

Local engineer Floyd Davis has also thrown his hat in the ring. Both challengers picked up paperwork at the County elections office last week.

I don't understand why you

I don't understand why you people have to be so harsh! Who do you think you are; having a "holier than you" attitude? YOU are not perfect. Lay off Castaldi, she is trying to do a good thing for Mariposa County. Youth like me need something to do after school instead of drugs and alcohal. Just because this community, this board of directors is scared of change and growth doesn't mean the youth should have to suffer. So for all you bagging on Castaldi, just shut up! And for Castaldi, you go girl and don't let these insecure pansies bring you down!

Castaldi has stiffed many

Castaldi has stiffed many businesses and individuals on loans made to her for her dude ranch. She refused to cooperate with county officials and violated county ordinances. Now she thinks the people of District 3 will vote for her over Janet Bibby, an excellent supervisor with brains and common sense? Incredible!

Ms. Castaldi sold me a very

Ms. Castaldi sold me a very expensive lot in Ponderosa Basin in 2006. She represented to me and the other buyers that the parcels would have power to the lot lines by the close. That didn't happen. Then she had her agent represent that she had paid PG&E for the work when she hadn't. Of course, she then went bankrupt and stiffed us all. This has to be a joke that she's running for public office!

It's a good thing she isn't

It's a good thing she isn't running for District 5 seat. She wouldn't garner any votes in Ponderosa Basin after riding roughshod over the people on Parker Drive.
