Urine splash ends with one man’s arrest
A complicated “he said, she said” incident at the St. Andrew’s Apartments on Jan. 2 ended when one man was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. Among the things William Wilson is alleged to have used to attack his victims were a hammer, a toy scooter and his own urine.
According to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office, Wilson, 19, was involved in some sort of conflict with two people in an apartment above his. He told deputies the two were trying to beat up him and his girlfriend.
Wilson told deputies that he was defending himself when he threw a plastic bottle of urine at the two people. He said the incident started because the two people were banging on his window.
The alleged victims, however, said Wilson was the aggressor, coming out of his apartment swinging a hammer at the victims. A witness told deputies that the dispute between the three had been ongoing, and that she saw Wilson throw a toy scooter at them.
Wilson eventually changed his story, and told deputies that he had used a wooden table leg to swing at the victims. The victims said Wilson swung a hammer at them five or six times without making contact.
One of the victims was confused by Wilson’s behavior, admitting that there had been an earlier dispute that had since been settled. The victim said apologies were exchanged and “everything was cool.” The victim said Wilson’s behavior was unexpected.
No one was injured in the incident, but Wilson was booked into the Mariposa County Jail on assault charges.
