In a filled Mariposa County High School auditorium on Dec. 11, Rod Fiester and Tina Tiner presented us with an evening of beautiful music with competent, dedicated singers.

The variety of selections included standard Christmas music, calypso, Andrew Lloyd Weber selections, lullabys and much more. All were beautifully sung.

It was amazing to watch how such a large number of vocalists found their places quickly, as each chorus performed on the small stage.

As an appropriate ending, the audience was invited to sing the first verse of our favorite carols.

Mariposa is indeed fortunate to support these many vocal opportunities for students and adults. Thank you singers, teachers and fine accompanist, Doris Taylor. You did us proud.
