Dec. 21: •There was a suicidal subject on Harris Road. •A bull was on someone’s property on Highway 49 South. •A vehicle hit a power pole on Incline Road. •Rocks were on Highway 140 in Cathey’s Valley and in Mariposa.

Dec. 22: •A storage box was burglarized on Bear Valley Road. •A dog attacked a goat on Sierra Pines Drive. •There was a verbal dispute at the Yosemite Inn. •A suspicious person was on Chowchilla Mountain Road.

Dec. 23: •A stray dalmatian was on Hillside Drive. •Trash was flying from a truck traveling on Triangle Road. •A cat was killed by dogs on Watt Road. •There was a traffic accident on Highway 49 North.

Dec. 24: •A bear was causing concern on Tip Top Road. •Colorado Road was icy, and there was a traffic accident there. •Someone complained about loud music on Coakley Circle. •There was a verbal dispute on Schilling Road.

Dec. 25: •Six cows were on Bear Valley Road. •Someone was shooting in the Hirsch Road area. •Deputies took a report of missing persons in Mariposa. •Two calves were on Hornitos Road. •There was a drunk driver in the Miner’s Inn parking lot.

Dec. 26: •Three horses were on Jalapa Way. •There was a brush fire on Leonard Road. •Deputies took a dog bite report in the emergency room at John C. Fremont Hospital. •An aggressive dog was loose at the 49er trailer park.

Dec. 27: •Someone called from Coulterville to check road conditions. •There was a domestic dispute on Echo Hill Road. •Sewage was leaking on Main Street in Coulterville. •Someone was shooting on Harris Cutoff Road. •There was a disturbance at Miner’s Inn.

The above listed calls are actual reports to Mariposa County Sheriff’s Dispatch. These are just a sampling of yesterday's calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
