Dec. 14: •There was a drug violation on Silva Road. •Cats were abandoned on St. Andrew’s Road. •There was a Christmas tree on Highway 140 in Cathey’s Valley. •A prowler was reported on Carstens Road.

Dec. 15: •There was a traffic accident on Highway 140. •Deputies took a child abuse report on Quail Lane. •Three puppies were missing on Fiske Road. •There was a loose mule in a yard on Carter Road. •Shots were fired near Beaver Creek Sales.

Dec. 16: •A bassett hound was lost on Varden Court. •Shooting was reported on Burl Drive. •Someone was driving reckless on Meadow Lane. •Deputies took a vandalism report on Main Street in Coulterville.

Dec. 17: •There was a loud, beligerant juvenile at the library. •Deputies took an assault report on Ranchito Drive. •Someone saw a bear in the Marsh’s Flat area. •There was a traffic accident on Bear Valley Road.

Dec. 18: •Hunters were trespassing on Miami Mountain Road. •Financial abuse of an elder was reported on Dexter Road. •There was an illegal burn on Watt Road. •Poachers were hunting on Agua Fria Road. •Shots were heard on Sierra Pines Drive.

Dec. 19: •There was a fire in an electrical outlet on Parmabelle Road. •Dispatch received a call about a phone scam in Coulterville. •There was a verbal dispute at the Miner’s Inn. •Shots were heard near the Ponderosa Basin Chapel.

Dec. 20: •Dispatch took a loud music complaint from Streeter Mountain Road. •There was a gas leak in a house on Cedar Avenue. •Deputies took an assault report on Highway 49 North. •Petty theft was reported on Joe Howard Street.

The above listed calls are actual reports to Mariposa County Sheriff’s Dispatch. These are just a sampling of yesterday's calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
