On Friday night in the Hilmar Christmas Classic basketball tournament, the host Yellowjackets bounced Mariposa, 51-48, in a hard-fought contest.

The Grizzlies held a 30-24 edge at the intermission, but could muster just 6 points in the third quarter and the Yellowjackets tossed in 14 to take the lead.

Mariposa senior Cody Wichmann led all MCHS scorers with 17 points
