Jim Randack died suddenly and peacefully on Dec. 12. He was 54.

He was born Jan. 19, 1955, in Glendale, where he spent his early years. He moved to Mariposa where he attended and graduated from Mariposa County High School. He attended Valley College in Los Angeles.

He is survived by his sisters, Cheryl Sawyer of Sylmar and Barbara Coleman of Grass Valley and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Randack worked for the Tavis Corporation for eight years. He loved to play Scrabble, work crossword puzzles and watch Jeopardy. He was avid reader and fisherman. He was a free spirit who loved to travel and went many times to Mexico and Canada with is friend, William.
