Mariposa’s varsity basketball team recorded its second win of the preseason in Summerville Tuesday night, downing the Bears, 63-45. 

That win moved the Grizzlies to 2-0 on the season after dropping Gustine, 57-33, in the annual Foundation Game played on the Reds’ home court on Monday.

Although Mariposa trailed at the half, 29-25, it dominated in the third quarter, outscoring the Bears, 20-6, and repeated that effort in the final period, topping its hosts, 18-12, to spread the margin.
