Mariposa's remarkable comeback football season ended in Sacramento Friday night with a 14-0 loss to Capital Christian in the semi-final contest of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division V playoffs.

Capital Christian's high-powered offense gained a 14-0 edge by the intermission, and was held scoreless in the second half, but Mariposa's punishing ground game couldn't find footing in the sloppy condtions, despite driving to the ball to the Capital 1-yard line  in the first half before turning it over on an interception.
