Alumni hoops tip off new season

On Saturday, Nov. 28, the Mariposa County High School Grizzly basketball program officially opens its season with the annual alumni game. The day features four games, culminating in the faceoff between this year’s varsity and former MCHS players.

At 1:30 p.m., the Mariposa Middle School seventh and eighth grade teams meet, followed by the eighth grade Bears versus the Grizzly freshmen at 3 p.m. At 4:30 the junior varsity Grizzlies take on Tioga High School. At 6 p.m., the varsity and alumni go head to head for what is always a tough game.

The cost for all four games is $5 per person. Tickets are available from any Grizzly basketball player or at the door.
