Johnson signs novel

Windows on the World Books and Art and Sixth Street Cinema present an evening With Shelton Johnson on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Sixth Street Cinema.

Local author Shelton Johnson will read from Gloryland, his recently published novel, which the Dallas Morning News called “a rather wonderful mix of the practical and the sublime.” A brief biographical film, produced by Florentine Films in conjunction with Ken Burns’ “National Parks: America’s Best Idea,” will also be presented. Johnson will be available after the presentation to sign copies of his book.

Johnson has been a resident of Yosemite National Park for 16 years, where he works as a park ranger. He has numerous poems in publication, and has received multiple awards in creative writing. Gloryland is his first novel.

Refreshments will be served, and books will be available for sale. Admission is free.
