Nov. 16: •There was a big dog versus little dog incident on Jones Street. •A cat was up a tree on Silva Road. •A resident on Hite’s Cove Road reported an incident with geese. •A cow was on Highway 140.

Nov. 17: •A cat was in a tree on Sullivan Road. •Someone lost a wallet on Ninth and Bullion Streets. •Deputies took a harassment report from Meadow Lane and from the Greeley Hill Market. •There was a fire on Carleton Road.

Nov. 18: •There was a traffic accident on Buckingham Mountain Road. •Residents of La Rosa Road had bear concerns. •A dog was in distress on Sixth Street. •There was an injured hawk on Triangle Road.

Nov. 19: •A truck and trailer were blocking Highway 140. •A horse was running amok on Cole Road. •A shot was fired on Coronado Drive. •There was a loose dog problem on Our Lady Lane.

Nov. 20: •There was an out of control juvenile on Triangle Road. •A cat was abandoned in Midpines. •Someone was shooting in the Banderilla Road area. •Loose goats were causing destruction on Crown Lead Road. •There was a traffic accident on Highway 49 South.

Nov. 21: •Garbage bags were on Highway 49. •Someone tried to pass a counterfeit bill on Dogtown Road. •There was a fire on Woodview Lane. •A suspicious person was on Highway 140 in Mariposa.

Nov. 22: •Someone saw a bear on Indian Peak Road. •Deputies took an harassment complaint from Watt Road. •Juveniles were on the roof of Mariposa Elementary School. •A raccoon was injured on Broadway in Coulterville. •There were suspicious circumstances on Allred Road.

The above listed calls are actual reports to Mariposa County Sheriff’s Dispatch. These are just a sampling of each day's calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
