Turkey Brigade returns

2009-11-19 / Local News

The Mariposa Martial Arts Academy, with the support of its students, families and friends, will be feeding less fortunate families in the community at Thanksgiving with its annual Turkey Brigade program.

To reach its goal of feeding more than 100 families, students of Mariposa Martial Arts Academy will be hosting their annual Kick-A-Thon on Nov. 20 at 6 p.m., and they need the community’s help. MMAA would appreciate any food donations or financial contributions. Items needed include stuffing, milk and butter, bread (rolls, French bread etc.), onions and carrots, roasting tins and roasting bags, instant potatoes, canned yams and cranberry sauce and dessert

Students will prepare, package and deliver complete (uncooked) turkey dinners to families in the community on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
