Theater seeks actors

Actors are invited to audition for the many roles (predominantly male) in an historical play.

Participants can be involved in an historic play, and an historic event in Oakhurst.

The play, written by Roger Clugston, premiered a decade ago at the Golden Chain Theatre. It depicts Abraham Lincoln as president and the plot to kill Lincoln at the Ford Theatre on April 15, 1865.

It is part of the celebration of the Abraham Lincoln “Self Made in America” exhibit hosted by The Wild Wonderful King Vintage Museum from March 5 through April 2. Oakhurst is one of only four locations in California where this exhibit will be held.

Auditions will be at the Golden Chain Theatre located two miles north of Oakhurst on Highway 41, just before the Bass Lake turnoff. For more information, call Mary Lou Finley at (559) 683-3789 or the theatre answering service at (559) 683-7112.
