On Nov. 1, Roger Conroy, Jr., a 2006 Mariposa County High School graduate and the son of Roger and Marcia Conroy and Danette Vaughn, was at Sand Mountain in Nevada on his dirt bike, when he had an accident. The crash resulted in a spinal cord injury.

Conroy was taken by air ambulance to Renown Hospital in Reno, where he has undergone two major surgeries. His sister, Ashley Conroy, has set up a blog with pictures, so that concerned friends can follow his progress. The address is http://jrjourney. blogspot.com.

The Conroy family thanks everyone for their prayers and kind words, especially because Roger Jr. has such a long road ahead of him. There will be an account set up at Yosemite Bank to help defer medical and rehabilitation costs.
