Free play days offered

A local organization, Infant/ Child Enrichment Services (ICES) has a program called the Growing, Learning, and Caring Project (GLC) that offers free play days to parents, family, friends and neighbors that have children in their care.

The play days are an opportunity to get out of the house, network with other caregivers and do fun, hands-on activities with the kids. Each play day has a different theme: some are based on storybooks, exciting arts and crafts or just plain messy fun. For Nov. 23 the play day is storybook themed: A Turkey for Thanksgiving. All participants that attend will receive the book read the day of the play day. Parents need to sign up in advance as space and availability of books is limited.

For more information, questions or to sign up, call Amber Edwards at ICES 966-4474 or e-mail at icesaedwards@ sti.net.
