ICES offers free workshops

Infant/Child Enrichment Services (ICES) offers a series of free workshops on different child development topics throughout the year. These workshops are open to anyone that is interested in becoming a licensed family child care provider, parents, teachers, family child care providers, child care center staff or anyone that currently works with children.

The following are the workshops available during November and December: Preschool Learning Foundations: Social Emotional Development, Home Sweet Home – Gingerbread House Building, and UC Davis’ Setting the Stage for Social Competence. The UC Davis series of classes is offered for academic credit. Participants will receive .5 quarter system unit for each 5- hour class completed and 1.0 quarter system unit for each 10-hour class completed.

The Preschool Learning Foundations: Social Emotional Development will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21. Those planning to attend are asked to call in advance to sign up for this or any other workshop as space is limited.
