Rain and cold move in

The weather is set to change drastically in the coming days, according to the National Weather Service. A chance of rain enters the picture tonight, but a stronger and colder system is poised to hit the area on Friday.

Today’s temperatures near 70 degrees are expected to plummet to the 50s by Friday. The Friday storm system is expected to bring rain, snow and wind to Mariposa County. Snow levels are expected to fall to 4,500 feet by Friday evening.

Warmer and drier conditions are predicted for early next week. At this point, Thanksgiving looks like a sunny, mild day in the area.
