Great pumpkins

I recently went with my two-and a half-year old twin daughters and their preschool class on a field trip to Jerseydale Ranch Pumpkin Patch. What I discovered there was a very interesting and entertaining trip for the kids at an absolutely serene and beautiful ranch, hosted by two of the friendliest and most accommodating individuals I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with.

Ranch owners Brian Finnegan and Bruce Kahl hosted a morning for the kids that included petting baby goats, feeding the ducks in the pond, enjoying a hay bale maze, picking apples, peeling harvest corn, enjoying a talk on the Native American grinding hole, and picking out a pumpkin to take home with them. I know that my two girls were thrilled and talked of little else in the days that followed their field trip. I would just like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Brian and Bruce, and also to encourage everyone to visit the pumpkin patch at Jerseydale Ranch. With its absolutely charming surroundings and wonderful hosts, I truly think that Jerseydale Ranch is one of Mariposa’s treasures that should not be missed out on.
