Most everyone that lives in Mariposa loves their life. Slow pace, friendly neighbors and the lifestyle that only a small town living can bring. One problem with small towns is the very busy rumor mill that circulates facts and fiction around our community. We have had one such rumor brought to our attention that we feel needs to be addressed.

We at Acorn Cooperative Preschool are not currently or have ever been affiliated with the ACORN Housing Corporation that has been splashed all over the news of late. We are named after a small brown nut that many of us have noticed scattered in our yard. Some of our community members are under the impression that we are associated.

Please feel free to call our school if you have any questions or have children that you would like to enroll in our programs at966-1202 or 966-7032. We have spots available and look forward to meeting you. We are in session Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon.
