Since its own formation in 1987, members of Xi Phi Upsilon, a Mariposa chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, have been gathering to recognize that sorority’s beginning in Abilene, Kan. in 1931. This year, 14 Mariposa women recognized the start of the new year with a high tea held at the House of Tea. The sorority’s new theme, “Share Our Passport to Adventure,” is celebrated by over 200,000 members in 12,500 chapters around the world. Ina Linderman coordinated this year ’s event.
