MSF plans annual Halloween Carnival

Mariposa Safe Families, Inc. invites the community to attend the Community Halloween Carnival at the fairgrounds. The carnival will take place in the beef barn on Oct. 31 from 5 to 8 p.m., rain or shine. The event is planned as a safe alternative to trick-or treating and as a place for some wholesome family fun.

While at the carnival participants can register for the “Tub o’ Treats” drawing. The tub filled with items to delight the young and young-at heart will go to one lucky carnival-goer at evening’s end. Registrations for the huge treat will be taken during the hours of 5 and 7:30 p.m. The drawing will be held at 7:45 p.m., and the winner must be present.

Returning to the carnival this year will be the “Best Booth” contest. Winning organizations will receive a cash prize for the first, second and third place winners.

For information on this event or for those interested in having a carnival booth (at no cost) or to make a donation contact Mariposa Safe Families, Inc at 966- 2211.
