On Tuesday, the GAZETTE learned that its Web site at www.mariposagazette.com had been compromised, or quite possibly “hacked.” We are currently working with technicians at both the ISP (IX Web Hosting) and Apple.

As of press time, it was unknown as to the extent of the damage or corruption of files, and the amount of time the site may be down has yet to be determined. Google currently lists the site as an “attack site,” although that threat doesn’t exist.
